Starting as a single panel in 2016, Indie Week became motivated to become advocates for Health and well-being for anyone in the music industry. This event has since quickly evolved into one of the conference’s most anticipated events for this year. Issues involving mental health, addictions, and general wellness has been so commonplace in the music industry, that Indie Week is dedicating a full day to increase awareness, decrease social stigma, promote resources, encourage healthy living, and offer support to those in music as well as the public.
No one should have to suffer doing what they love to do.
Indie101 will be teaming up with the Unison Benevolent Fund and Over the Bridge: Recovery Group by having a special day focusing on health and wellness with topics pertaining to addiction, mental health, diet, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle while touring. We will also have information on where members of the music industry can find help when needed. There will be a keynote from Chuck Randall (tour manager for Alice in Chains / The Cult), and guest speakers, Martin Atkins (Nine Inch Nails, Public Image Ltd.) and MORE!
