Serena Ryder supports the Unison Benevolent Fund

Platinum recording artist and multiple Juno Award winner Serena Ryder supports the Unison Benevolent Fund

SerenaRyderSHamiltonToronto, Ontario – Celebrating the Holiday Season, Serena Ryder is giving to Unison Benevolent Fund by thanking her many supporters with a musical greeting card and a generous donation to Unison.  Serena’s #1 Holiday single, “Calling to Say” is included in the greeting card that wishes peace and harmony for the holidays.

Serena, who hails from the small town of Millbrook, Ontario, has had an incredible year, logging thousands of tour miles across Canada. Currently on the road with her platinum album “Harmony”, she understands what it takes to work in the music industry in Canada and to enjoy a good and healthy quality of life.

“Many people on my team are self-employed and live without the support of a safety net; no benefits, and limited resources.  When a crisis occurs, its impact can be devastating”.  “I am thrilled that there is now an organization that will support the music community, help individuals through hard times, and help get them back on their feet.”

Unison Board of Director’s Chair, Jodie Ferneyhough stated:  “Serena is a fantastic artist and a truly compassionate person.  We hope that by her example and leadership, others will follow”.
